About the Malta Retirement Programme

The Malta Retirement Programme is a tax-residency scheme for EU, EEA, and Swiss nationals whose primary income is a pension. Beneficiaries pay a flat 15% tax on the pension remitted to Malta, with a minimum annual tax of EUR 7,500. The programme requires holding qualifying property and spending at least 90 days per year physically in Malta.
