Swieqi is St Julian's quieter residential neighbour on the hill.
Swieqi is the quieter, residential counterpart to St Julian's, a hillside town of low-rise modern blocks built mostly from the 1980s onward. It is one of the youngest settlements in Malta in terms of building stock and a popular landing point for families who want proximity to the coast without Sliema's density.
