About these figures
- Source: National Statistics Office Malta, from deeds and promise of sale agreements registered with the Malta Tax and Customs Administration, counted by month of registration. Reproduced with attribution; Darscover adds only sums, shares and percentage changes.
- Residential only: apartments, penthouses, maisonettes, houses, villas, garages, plots of land for housing and similar. Commercial property, donations and exchanges are excluded.
- Values are the prices declared on the deeds. The average per deed is the total value divided by the number of deeds; NSO does not publish values by locality.
- NSO revises recent months and the last four index quarters as late registrations arrive; this page always shows the latest published figure.
- These are completed sales. Darscover's asking price index measures what sellers advertise, which is a different thing and is never mixed with these figures.
- NSO NR 159/2026, Residential Property Transactions: August 2026, published 11 September 2026
